Rod Blum Visits Pattison

Congressman Rod Blum, Pattison Company, Pattison Sand Company, Pattison, Aggregates, Iowa Limestone, Ordovician dolomitic limestone Throughout the tour, they were able to learn more about the Sands and Aggregates business and the rail expansion project underway and already in use at the facility.

“I had no idea how big this operation has become,” said Congressman Blum. “They expect to ship 2 Million tons of sand and aggregate next year and employ nearly 300 people. Pattison Sand is believed to be the largest family-owned sand operation in the country.”

Rep. Hager said she was impressed as well. “Pattison Sand has a large economic impact on our area and they offer great pay and benefits.  I was most impressed by their attention to the health and safety of their people.”
