SURFACING STONE is an aggregate material comprised of fractured pieces of Ordovician Dolomitic limestone that is blended with a determined amount of limestone fines. Because the material is a combination of larger pieces and fines, it compacts very well. It helps to create a stable base for applications when fabricating foundations, road sub-base, railroad sub-ballast, underlayment for stabilization, and the construction and maintenance of rural roadways.
